In the event of a dental emergency, try to save any pieces of the broken tooth. Rinse them in warm water, place them in a clean container, and cover them with milk or a saline solution.

For the injured person, rinse their mouth with warm water and attempt to stop any bleeding. Apply clean gauze or cloth to the area while applying pressure. If the bleeding does not stop after 10 minutes, please call our dental team or visit the hospital.

When a tooth is knocked out, acting quickly is essential; therefore, call us as soon as possible! Remember to hold the tooth only by the crown; in addition, avoid touching the root.

First, rinse the injured person’s mouth with warm water and try to stop any bleeding by applying clean gauze and pressure. If bleeding persists after 10 minutes, contact our dental team or go to the hospital. Where possible, attempt to gently replace the tooth into its gum socket.

If re-insertion isn’t feasible, rinse the tooth in warm water, place it in a small container, and cover it with milk or saline solution.

Losing a crown or filling typically does not require an immediate same-day visit. Instead, please schedule an appointment with us. Before your visit, follow these steps:

  • Fillings: If you find the filling, place it in a clean container and bring it along to your appointment.
  • Crowns: If you locate the crown, clean it thoroughly and line its interior with toothpaste or dental adhesive. You can then either attempt to replace it or keep it safe in a container.

If you are suffering from a severe toothache, inspect the affected tooth and clean the area carefully. Use floss to remove any debris and check along the gum line as well. Should the pain persist, please call our Seattle dentist at (206) 622-2999 for further assistance.
